Following the execution of a senior mafia boss, police investigator Petter Tyrar is contacted by a strange, one-eyed man. He offers Tyrar vengeance for a cruel injustice, but the price Tyrar has to pay turns out to be a high one. After a bloody exchange of fire, he wakes up in Gladsheim, the home in Åsgard of Odin himself. In this alien world he is welcomed as a chief. It soon becomes clear to Tyrar that he is in fact the god of war, Tyr, who has now been called home to lead the Einherjar in the age leading up to Ragnarok, the end of the world.
The Jotun’s Return is based on well-known Norse myths but at the same time is an gripping, standalone story.
