The Doppelgangers

The world might end at any moment, especially after a night of too much drinking. Four literary friends wake up at Nesøya, and steeped in hungover anxiety, they experience what might be the beginning of the End.

After this spectacular opening, the novel turns back time, presenting us for a main character not unlike the first one we were introduced to, a sort of doppelgänger; a man contemplating his major, unrequited love, violent childhood memories, the experiences that have formed him as a person. Love, identity, and loneliness are keywords in this novel of funny, extremely accurate observations, audacious assertions, and analyses of the state of things in our time.
