It's Only Love

Sverre Henmo is no rookie, and I think it is only a matter of time until he turns into a household name – in other words until he turns into someone that everybody has heard about and wants to read. This is very good literature. The story is realistic and the thoughts are very sharp. It is a delight to read Sverre Henmo.

It’s Only Love is a realistic story about the complications of falling in love, with no exhausting comedy or dystopian drama … Being a teenager involves the act of finding your own voice and making your own choices. And this is what Sverre Henmo demonstrates to us: Love is no joking matter. And neither is friendship.

Henmo writes about things that young people can relate to, and uses protagonists that both boys and girls can identify with. Nice to experience an author who still remembers how it was to be a teenager.

To portray teenage life the way it feels when you’re living it, and not how it looks in hindsight, is a great quality in a young adult novel. And that is exactly what Sverre Henmo does so well.

A finely tuned and quiet novel... Each sentence is relevant, the metaphors are striking.
