Famous Corpses

From a cemetery in the heart of Oslo to the mountains of Peru, from a mausoleum in Moscow to a cabin in Utah, USA: all around the world there are human bodies that have been preserved so remarkably well that, in some cases, we can still see them thousands of years later. Through them, we can learn about the people they once were and the times in which they lived.

Author and illustrator Hilde Hodnefjeld has travelled far and wide to see them all, from Lenin in Moscow to Ötzi the Iceman.
