
Vilde Fastvold (born 1984) is from Oslo and studied social anthropology at the University of Oslo and Columbia University in New York. She has lived in Paris and Martinique and has a particular interest in Caribbean literary and intellectual history and the postcolonial canon.
She has been writing since 2011, publishing fiction in various journals and anthologies. She was accepted onto Aschehoug's creative writing programme in 2013, was a finalist in Vinduet's short-story competition in 2014 and was selected for Cappelen Damm's anthology of new writers, Signaler, in 2016.
She made her debut as a novelist in 2020 with Felt.
