Thore Hansen (1942–2026) was a Norwegian illustrator, author and comics creator.
Hansen made his literary debut with the short story collection Grimaser (1975) and published a wide range of books for children and adults. He became one of Norway’s most prominent illustrators and, alongside his own publications, illustrated numerous books by other authors. He was particularly known for his collaborations with Tor Åge Bringsværd, including the Ruffen stories and Det blå folket.
In 2007, Hansen received the King Frederik Honorary Award from the municipality of Fredrikstad, one of the many awards he received for his work.
