Stein Erik Lunde (b. 1953) has published numerous books for children, young adults and adults, both fiction and non-fiction. He made his literary debut in 1982 with a crime novel written together with Harald Skjønsberg. Lunde's first book for young adults was published in 1997. He won the Brage Prize for Eggg in 1998 and The Ministry of Culture's Literature Prize 2014 for his biography on Alf Prøysen. Eggg was made into a big screen movie in 2016.
Stein Erik Lunde has written several biographies for young adults, among others of Henrik Ibsen, Amalie Skram and Edvard Munch. He has also written a biography of Bob Dylan in the series ICON where the focus is Dylan's life and songs - and how this icon has influenced Lunde's life. Stein Erik Lunde has written song lyrics for many Norwegian artists and he has translated several of Bob Dylan's songs into Norwegian. Lunde works as a high school teacher.
