Sara Døscher
Sommelier, author and wine enthusiast Sara Døscher (35) has spent her entire career working with wine.
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts and meal science, she travelled to France to study the country’s language and wine culture, before moving on to South Africa to work at a vineyard, and then to Brazil to work with wine imports.
She has now returned to Norway with extensive knowledge of wine – and greatly enjoys sharing her expertise with others. She does this through her work as a professional product advisor at Vinmonopolet, by teaching courses on wine at the Culinary Academy, and through her work as a sommelier for Kokkeløren.
To keep her knowledge up to date, she is currently studying for the WSET Diploma (the final step in obtaining the title ‘MW’ – Master of Wine). She has previously published the cookbook Love for Leftovers, and provided wine recommendations for the cookbooks Glow and The Food We Share.
