Jonny Halberg

Jonny Halberg (b. 1962 in Jørstadmoen) lives in Moss and debuted with the short story collection Transition to Tertiary in 1989. Halberg had his breakthrough with the novel The Flood (2000), for which he received a number of awards. Halberg has written ten novels, three short story collections, two film scripts (with Pål Sletaune), and numerous articles, reviews, and essays about literature and film for journals such as Vinduet, ZETT, BLA, and Samtiden. He has been a literary critic for Dagbladet and Morgenbladet. His books have been translated into Danish, Dutch, German, Romanian, and Russian.
