
Crime mysteries and extinct languages
H.K. Fauskanger (born 1971) lives on Askøy, outside Bergen. He has studied philology and religious studies and has a knowledge of Classical Hebrew, Greek and Coptic. He made his debut as a crime writer in 2012 with The Chest, a novel about a case Sherlock Holmes solves during a visit to Norway in 1895. Fauskanger founded and runs Ardalambion, a website devoted to the study of J.R.R. Tolkien's invented languages.
