
Gunnhild Øyehaug was born in 1975 and lives in Bergen.
She made her literary debut with the poetry collection Slaven av blåbæret in 1998. Her publications include the short-story collection Knutar (2004) and the essay collection Stol og ekstase (2006). She holds a cand.philol. degree and has taught at the Academy of Creative Writing in Hordaland and co-edited the literary journal Kraftsentrum. She has also co-edited Vagant and worked as a literary critic for Morgenbladet and Klassekampen. She received the Bjørnson Scholarship in 2006 and the Tanum Women’s Scholarship in 2007.
