Cecilie Skog is trained as a nurse as well as a trained mountain and glacier guide, and has spent more time outdoor than in a hospital. Her driving force is her love for an outdoor life. She has crossed Greenland several times, she has reached the North Pole, the South Pole and the Seven Summits, which includes Mount Everest. In 2008 she reached K2, the second highest mountain in the world, but far more difficult to reach than Mount Everest.
When she is not out on adventurous journeys, she spends her time sailing and giving lectures.
